Edmunds is, then you will need to click on this Map. Once you are

Horsecroft is a tiny hamlet on the outskirts of
Bury St Edmunds in the County of Suffolk. Tiny really does mean tiny
in this case - there are only five houses plus the big hall and a few barns.
The family home is called the 'Old Farm House' and
my house which is joined to it is known as 'Barn
Cottage'. Way back in the past Horsecroft was the location of
the 'Home Farm' of the Cullum Family Estate. In its time it was a
very big mixed farm but it has now been split up and divided amongst several
land owners. Part of the old estate was sold in the mid sixties and
is now a large housing development known as the Nowton Estate. One
of the roads on the estate is called 'Home Farm Lane' and there are various
other roads in Bury that have taken there name from this area. e.g.
Horsecroft Road, Cullum Road. For some reason the Hamlet of Horsecroft
is in two parishes - Nowton and Horringer, looking at the parish
boundary map it can quite clearly be seen that the Nowton parish boundary
has been deliberately drawn to include the Old Farm House, where as most
of the other houses and buildings are in Horringer.
